RitcheyRacer's Broken Album
Tanner Antila #392
On June 10, 2006 (My sister’s bday) I crashed at Washougal on a downhill back in the brush. I’m not sure what did it but I got a nasty gash at the base of my nose and about 1 1/2” out from my nose. Nathan Woods was the first one who found me, he was real cool and got me some help. I ended up getting 40 stitches in my face.
Luckily, my parents requested that the stiches be done by a plastic surgeon and he did a really good job. I also broke my hand and had to have surgery on it, along with a couple
of pins.

Labor Day weekend of 2006 (2 months after my other crash), in Washougal (again), I crashed and broke my jaw in 5 places and put a big gouge under my jaw (fairly close to the ol’ jugular) and along my jaw line.
It was pretty freaky, having so much pain in my jaw and trying to get my helmet off.
I have a titanium plate and four screws in my jaw. We didn’t request a plastic surgeon this time around and let me
tell you, it makes a difference. I recommend anyone who needs a bunch of stitches in their face to ask for one.~
